October 09 Newsletter

Brothers & Sister:

It always amazes me on how fast the days, months, and years pass as we get older. But getting older is not a bad thing. Yes, we slow down my have extra ache’s and pains but for the most part we are having a great time in the Lord with both friends and family. I said all that to say this, “God is Good” “All the Time”!!

There is not a day that goes by without us worrying about something. Have we lost a job, many have, lost a loved one, many have, had financial trouble and worried about how the bills will get paid, many have and are, but through it all there is a strength that we all have and all we have to do is use it. That strength comes from God. Our Lord and Savior.

For any of you who may thing that pastors or anyone doing God’s work does not get attacked, you are sorely mistaken. Everyone in ministry is attacked everyday. Now let me just share with you all some of the blessings the Lord has put into my life in September. Due to losing my job in June I did not have the finances to attend the National Quartet Convention in Louisville, KY. Some would say where is the blessing? The blessing was that during that time period and knowing what I was going through I found out that someone was watching me, and how I was taking and dealing with the struggles of wondering how my bills would get paid. I gave it to the Lord as I should have. Well on a quite Sunday morning in September while I was singing at another church my sister walked the isle at my home church and gave her life to Jesus. I was not told of this action until almost a week later. It was a blessing for me to go down with her the following Sunday to join the church and she will be Baptist on Oct. 4th. Now I never said a word to her about Jesus. I was a quite witness. Sometimes our actions can speak a lot louder then our voice can.

Another blessing God gave me in September was some new songs. On Saturday Oct. 10th I will be in the studio starting a new project. I’ve gotten great songs; some songs are so up beat that many would not think it was me singing them. However, God send along with four of the songs a note to me personally. That note was not written on paper but buried within one of the songs. It was a clear message to me that God does want me singing His praise when ever and where ever I could.

Right now I am in the process of completing a 40 page document to qualify as a not for profit business with the IRS. If accepted this will allow me to accept donations and it would provide all of those who donate to my ministry a tax deduction. I’m hoping for this to be in place for 2010 and it would be retro back to the first of the year. So please pray and see if you are one of those that God would be calling to support His ministry by supporting my ministry. God wants His word spread and I am willing to do just that.

God is opening doors and I will walk through as long as it is Him opening and not me.

Visit my new web site, check for upcoming dates, and I hope that as I serve God that you will remember all our service men and women in your prayers as well. Your prayers are always welcome.

The new project which I look to be released in February of 2010 will be entitled “American Christian”. That title song will also be the first release to radio from this project.

May God Bless you all always.

Blessings,

Robert Matelski
